Long Island Development (Trump/Lighthouse) Resources

Combine the recent “Trump on the Ocean” proposal with other planned developments like the Nassau Coliseum expansion and development, and businesses with big money are showing the potential for commercial growth on Long Island.

Long a suburb-hub, communities on Long Island have been initially skittish about these types of development plans. Do Nassau County residents want development like this? What is their ideal “Long Island” community 10, 15 or 20 years from now? What do young adults who plan to stay on Long Island want from the area’s development?

Interviewing from different towns and villages in Nassau County can give a clearer picture of the answers to these questions, combined with photos of the areas of proposed development and areas already in development.
